The Quaich Gets Around

Endless parties. Exotic drinks. Celebrity encounters. Family celebrations. Cross-country traveling. It's a given that the Quaich is having a better time than the rest of us right now.

As part of the rich tradition of the Quaich, the winning team is given an opportunity to showcase the venerable trophy for family, friends, and golf fans in a victory lap of sorts. Since beating Team Scotland in May by a score of 14 – 6, the members of Team USA have gladly shared the Quaich with the American people. The Quaich has been filled with crawfish at a Cajun festival in Louisiana, sunk to the bottom of the pool at Barrington Hills Country Club outside of Chicago, and been a lawn game target at a “Bro-lympics” competition in Virginia. As the most famous piece of hardware in sports, the Quaich is universally adored by all who are lucky enough to see and touch it in person.

The Quaich even made an appearance at Game 6 of the World Series in early November. As Houston Astros closing pitcher Ryan Pressly slammed the door on the Philadelphia Phillies in the 9th inning, the Quaich was seen being filled with Hopadillo IPA and passed around by the jubilant, well-heeled fans in the premium seats behind home plate.

Future stops for the Quaich include Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix, a Taylor Swift concert in Tampa, and WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.
